SALIENT FEATURES

  • The machine is fitted with self-aligning ball bearing and requires less power.
  • It does away with all air-pockets, thus eliminating the detrimental effects of air percolation thereby preserving quality and flavour of tea.
  • The ball bearing eccentric requires no attention except lubrication every few months.
  • The machine is noiseless and very steady in action.
  • Being strongly built, the machine requires very little replacement of parts. Easy, inexpensive maintenance.

GENERAL

Construction: The cast iron bedplate is of strong construction heavily ribbed with cast pedestals to carry the eccentric shaft. The pedestals are machined true to the bedplate and fitted with self-aligning ball bearings and plummer blocks. The bedplate is accurately machined to take the rocking arm brackets, each of which is fixed by four bolts. The eccentric sheave is made of cast iron and fitted with self-aligning ball bearing which are an interference fit in the sheave and on the high tensile steel eccentric shaft. The connecting rod, which is integral with the eccentric sheave, actuates the table. C.I. rocking arms are fitted with the table and C.I. foot bracket with renewable gunmetal bush. The packing table is of ample width to accommodate TWO FULL-SIZED TEA CHESTS.

MOTION

A high speed oscillating motion is imparted to the packing table by the ball bearing eccentric and shaft, thus giving even packing throughout the chest.
