ROPE CONVEYING SYSTEM FOR UNIT LOADS

Imagine a totally flexible conveying system Cost effective and economical to run. It is practically silent in operation and requires minimal maintenance. It can negotiate vertical and horizontal bends with ease. The lubrication process along the length is completely eliminated and hence ideal for handling food grade items like Tea Bags.
It is possible to incorporate "dips" or "bumps" in the path for galvanizing or paint dipping or to meet other similar needs.
The applications are endless - tea processing, unit handling in electronics industry, package handling in the despatch sections of a factory, even bag handling in applications involving non standard irregular or variable bags. Maximum unit loads that can be handle vary between very light loads of 5 Kg. to heavy industrial products of up to 150 Kg.
The system primarily comprises of an endless rope system with evenly spaced roller supports and suspended hook units that carry the bags or specially designed brackets units. A tubular member acts as the main load support member and determines the path followed by the rope.

With some changes in details of the carrier units, it is possible to adopt this System in outdoor applications like collecting the tea bags from the field workers, spread across the garden. The empty bags can be returned to the field and the full bags brought to the collection point, free of manual operation.
As can be seen from the photo alongside, the equipment incorporates a clean and low noise system, involving special Nylon Rollers that reduce noise by nearly 70%. The use of the rope as the main conveying member makes the system flexible and conducive of taking minor misalignments without any adverse effects or breackdowns. Typical Components such as the compact drive Unit, Typical Tension unit are light and can be suspended from the roof structure, thus saving floor space. It is however advisable to keep the drive at the ground floor level to allow easy maintenance.
