ECP Dryer                  

To optimise production as well as to maintain liquor quality the ECP 3 Circuit Dryer has been modified. The Conventional System of Leaf Back Process has been maintained since hot air coming from the bottom gradually gets moist with evaporation of water from the tea.

To enhance capacity and for faster drying a hot air by-pass arrangement has been made to allow better mixing of hot air with the moisture between the second and top circuits. It has been found that if 230oF is maintained at the bottom of the Drying Chamber, exhaust temperature, after mixing, is between 100 to 110oF resulting in best utilisation of fuel and higher productivity.
